Hello all,

As I have journeyed through the world of SOG, clearly, as we all know, artifacts from particularly Recon Company men, are exceedingly hard to find. Given that historians debate the figure of 400-700 men that served in SOG cross-border operations (this does not include support personnel, exploitation/hatchet force, etc) it is no shock that artifacts from the small group, are not plentiful.

There are, of course, many collectors who do not actively participate in forum discussion and some that do not have an online presence.

With these ideas in mind, I have to ask, are there truly as few SOG 1-0 jackets “out there” as what the sparse posts on the forum indicate? I have spent hours going through wonderful collections, comments, notes and all but there may be only a small handful of these windbreakers posted.

Of course, the greatest selection and display can be seen on Mr. Hardy’s website, but apart from these, I rarely see any others shared on the internet. I value the input shared on this forum, so perhaps you all may chime in.

If I’m counting correctly, I have seen 4 ID’d 1-0 jackets - only a couple are patched in some manner,  or embroidered; none I’ve seen have ST/RT patches. This does not count unidentified “plain” examples.

I could have posted this thread in a much more brief way, but I think this discussion deserves a backdrop as to why I am posting.

I invite anyone to share their 1-0 jackets in this thread. We have had many rare uniform threads pinned, but nothing for these jackets in particular.
