Hello all, this is my first forum post and wanted to share my growing collection of hand camouflaged gear used by the USMC in the pacific in WW2.

I've always been a collector of WW2 Camouflage. OD3 gear worked in North Africa and Italy. I've heard two vet accounts that once guys started seeing OD7 gear and Field Uniforms they couldn't get rid of their OD3 issues fast enough. Very nice hand applied Camouflage to otherwise inappropriate OD3 for darker green ETO woods and brush & Jungles of the PTO!

Welcome to the forum, I did wonder how long it would be until you made your way over here.

Glad I'm not the only one infected with the canteen disease 😁

I can completely understand why they darkened their gear when they are wearing such light coloured gear at OD3, it’s very interesting at night when it goes dark, my collection disappears into the darkness and that proves to me what they did worked!
