I picked this up in a charity shop in uk , camillus trench knife in good condition for age are 

Wear from use I think this may have been used in d day going by my research and it's wear and paracord on handle . I would value any opnion on this . And any idea of value  ? 

It has double pins on pommel and flaming bomb on top of pommel

Hi Leigh. Congratulations on picking up an M3 at what I assume was a bargain price. I must add that in my humble opinion it is not in good condition for its age. I'd describe it as desirable but rough. The blade has been well beaten and I suspect that did not happen in the two years that it may have seen service but in the 80 years plus since. First thing to go on an M3 is the handle. In June1944 there is a safe bet that your M3 still had a solid original stacked leather handle. I'm picking that age, use and abuse has since taken its toll and that wrapped paracord handle is a relatively modern attempt to extend the useful life of the blade. But it is what it is. A blade marked Camillus with an unknown history. If I had picked it up in a charity shop I'd have been very happy. Nice find.

Given the general condition of the knife, it's probable that the leather under the paracord is not in very good condition.  I'd leave the paracord untouched; it gives the knife a combat used aura that would be lost if the leather has deteriorated.
