July 29, 2025Jul 29 Author #2 Maybe should have cleaned it first tbh, looks a bit like it needs a wash! usually leave things as is if i find them though so u guys let me know if it needs a wee bit of a scrub!
July 29, 2025Jul 29 #3 Personally, I would leave it as is. Patina like that is beautiful to me. Not military but still a great find, these seem to go for a few hundred bucks on eBay and yours seems to be a great example.
July 29, 2025Jul 29 Author #5 Hi, norway connection was that he served in stavanger and was present during early part of the war where this knife was taken or found
August 5, 2025Aug 5 #6 Early Marble’s Safety Hunting Knife made in Gladstone Michigan, which was produced, i believe, up until WWII. It came in 2 sizes and I believe by the handle yours is a model 83. The 85 had a different design on the grip and was bigger but I could be wrong. Either way it is a fairly rare knife.
