July 2, 20251 yr #1 I went to an antique store today, and got some nice finds but also got this WWII lighter which was supposedly engraved from a member of an armored division. It looks goo do me but I know that engraved lighters are faked a lot, and would like a second opinion.

July 3, 20251 yr #4 My thoughts. The entire lighter is very crudely made, not factory made. My guess is hand made in the far East. Maybe Philippines. And also engraved by hand for a soldier.
July 17, 20251 yr Author #5 Sorry I’m late to notice this reply, but yes it was definitely not factory made now that I look at it. My guess is that it was engraved by a soldier, but could definitely could have been engraved for a soldier.
