June 15, 20251 yr #1 Hello, I am wanting to get started re enacting but have had trouble finding groups near me. I want to do US Army stuff so if anyone has any suggestions they will be appreciated
June 15, 20251 yr #2 There’s a 505th unit out there. They used to be mainly California but kinda shifted over to Arizona, they do the buckeye air show every year and my group is out there. I’ll ask around.
June 16, 20251 yr #4 There is a Span Am re-enactment group in Prescott. I think they are artillery if I recall but also do presentations on Rough Riders, etc.

Depending if your near the state border between California and Arizona, you could Consider Joining Historical Unit Of Southern California, or HUSC for short. We do multiple events every month and at least 1 or 2 tacticals every other month. If you’re willing to drive out between LA and San Diego, you’d be able to make it to some solid events. I know Tagt’s pretty far, so it really depends on how committed you are. The unit is very active with multiple full strength units and lots of younger people ages 20–35. We have marines, airborne, 9th ID, navy. Anything really. Plus they do events out in Arizona frequently.
June 16, 20251 yr #7 Well that’s a hike, might be worth thinking about. You can look up the website as well and go through the introduction process before you decide if it’s a good fit. The membership is $30 annually. Let me know if your possibly interested.
