June 3, 20251 yr #1 I am in search of a WW2 MK2 fighting knife in very good to excellent condition. I Know enough to know I don't know what is important with these fighting knives. The ones I have found on ebay either have good blades and handles with so-so sheaths or a nice sheath with average blade and handles. What is the more important? I will only be buying 1 to go with my MK4 bayonet and Mk3 which are both Camillus. I spent 8yrs in the USMC before being medically retired, so I prefer to keep it a USMC marked version. If I can't find one that meets my wants I may pick up a USN version as they are more readily available in new to like new condition. And then keep on the hunt for the USMC. What features / opinions are do the forum members hold. What prices for these knives are acceptable at this current date and time? I initially have a $500 upper end budget, but may be able to swing a little more if the right one comes along. Does this sound reasonable?
