May 30, 20251 yr #1 Greetings all. I have a very modest blade collection. I consider myself fortunate to have picked up one of these today. A WW2 Mk2 with bone handles and in pretty good shape. Its in working condition. I understand these are authentic. No provenance. I dont know much about these. I need more study but I have always wanted one of these. Its my one and only.

Thanks to Allen H and all who contributed. Its quite a read and I had no idea of all the controversy surrounding these. Was interested to read that their initial cost, was a dollar and 25 cents!!! Thats a bit shy of what they go for today! Understatement of the year!!! lol
June 5, 20251 yr Author #8 I got this in and its a beaut!!! Opens fine.. No rattle when shaken... Its in great shape. Sharp. I tried to purchase one from a well known militaria dealer. It was not as nice as this one and they wanted a little more than I paid for this one. They would not sell it to me because I live in Illinois. I told them to check the laws. It legal in Illinois to own and even carry a switchblade if you have a FOID card. They would not sell it though. Yes, if you have a Firearms Owners ID Card in Illinois you can own and carry a switchblade.
