Great looking rifle.

Serial # places the rifle in the June to September of 1943 manufacture. Barrels can vary by date from weeks/month depending on when pulled from the stack. Yours has had the sight knob(s) changed as the lock bar style was used on the Springfield through WW2 production I recall.

I have an all original late 43 rifle with the uncut op-rod still intact. Was bought from an estate where the owner purchased it in 1968 for 480 according to his legger.

Ifo from a book on the parts range and types for the production range of your receiver. Im thinking barrel is original to the receiver

According to the Technical Bulletin TB ORD 366 entitled Rebuild Standards for Small Arms Material the stock marking RA indicates that the rebuild occurred at Raritan Arsenal in New Jersey.
