May 29, 20251 yr #2 Great looking rifle. Serial # places the rifle in the June to September of 1943 manufacture. Barrels can vary by date from weeks/month depending on when pulled from the stack. Yours has had the sight knob(s) changed as the lock bar style was used on the Springfield through WW2 production I recall. I have an all original late 43 rifle with the uncut op-rod still intact. Was bought from an estate where the owner purchased it in 1968 for 480 according to his legger. Ifo from a book on the parts range and types for the production range of your receiver. Im thinking barrel is original to the receiver `
