Can anyone provide me with a unit  or identification from the markings for this and approximate value? The last name is Strickland. First initials are hard to make out but could be T.D. I don't collect marine field gear. Thank you kindly

Funny in that I knew a "Strickland" when I was assigned to HQ Bty. 4/10 2nd MarDiv in 1971. He was a big and somewhat dumpy character from NYC or thereabouts if memory serves. He had been "in country" and think he enjoyed too much of the local "flora" while there. He ran our supply stores and was nicknamed "Spaceball" (for obvious reasons) from his time in "Nam. Way to young to wear the canteen/cover though...
