My Dad was in Manila just after the end of the war. He filmed the destruction there with a spring- wound Kodak 8mm movie camera and used Kodachrome film. The resolution and lighting is not too good but there are not many color films of Manila and Corregidore existing. Note the warning sign on Corregidore.

Thanks... for some reason this clip is not playing on my computer. My Dad took movies of Iran, Cairo, Nairobi, Brazzaville, Lagos, etc during the war, too.

At 7:57 you can briefly see the sign warning troops to NOT pick up souvenirs. At 8:06 there is a shot of the Malinta Tunnel, and at 8:23 is Battery Way. The Bataan Peninsula is across the channel in some views.

Thanks to my dear wife, I was able to visit Manila and Corregidor back in 1991 or ‘92. This trip was my first and so far only visit to WWII battlefields. There was horrendous fighting and damage  in Manila in 1945. Most of which has been cleared and rebuilt. There are sections of the old walled city that are still in ruins. 
Corregidor has been preserved in a state of arrested development. The whole island is basically a shrine. Very beautiful place. 
To see these places and know what happened there not to long ago is very moving to a history buff like me.
