March 22, 20251 yr #1 Here is one of the Knives that were given to the Top student Grads from the CIA SOTC short course for Long term students. Much like the the Darby Award from the Ranger School, these knives were given to the Top Honor Student in the Special Operations Training Course that provides Para Military Training for the Agency Long Course. Only 10 of these knives were made with 8 issued before course folded into other training. Engraving done at the armory at the center. Figured at some point one of these are going to pop up for sale, so just a heads up for collectors.
March 23, 20251 yr #2 Other than the knife and sheath, what documentation or evidence is there that confirms these were given as you have described? Are these knives numbered and how is the marking on the sheath done?

(1) Being there (2) no ( 3) professionals- Not to be glib, but SOG wanted to do the engraving but said they could not engrave a circle on a beveled blade or on sheath, Not a problem for the Ord. team
March 30, 20251 yr #5 I live a few miles from the SOG factory in Edmonds Washington. I can't speak directly regarding skir's post here, but it is common knowledge that many of the "Ben Baker" type SOG knives have been used as presentation knives over the years. That said provenance is always nice to have.
