March 15, 20251 yr #1 Saw something for sale recently. Do any of you know if Army officers ever wore Shade 54 (pink) web belts with gold buckles in WWII? Looks like it would be quite smart with my pinks and greens, but no idea if it's a legitimate option. Thanks!
March 18, 20251 yr #2 I have one somewhere. The officer that owned it originally had an entire uniform done in pink to include blouse, shirt, tie, overseas cap and visor cap. He must have really liked the salmon color. Allan

Allan Do you happen to still have it all? I’m very curious for a few reasons: 1, I’ve often discussed with people if a pink 4-pocket tunic ever existed. I’ve always heard “no”, and have only seen Ikes. I would kill to see pics! 2, perhaps purchasing it if you’re interested. Thank you!!

I don't think I have ever seen a pink four pocket. I MIGHT still have the belt, but I am sure that the rest of the uniform got traded off to another collector about 35 years ago. Allan

I would’ve happily picked up that Ike. Thanks for clarifying, and for confirming my currently held understanding.
March 19, 20251 yr #6 I also have a belt and a overseas cap. Also an over coat or two in the shade. Recall the WW2 Officers guide refers to the "pinks" as Olive Drab shade 54. There is a list of basic required items for the officer and also states items may be substituted as long as it meets the requirements and quality set forth. The belt I have looks more of a tailor made item and material. Its not the standard web belts seen used. Would post a picture but its buried some place in a footlocker The guide list Belt. web, One each as required. All others would be additional.
