Hello everyone,

I just came across this uniform grouping. It is stated that it belonged to a Lieutenant-Colonel Raymond, L. Bryan, SN O1473762.

The original auction was about a year ago in the U.S. (for sale in The Netherlands now) and included the following description:

'WWII US ARMY 88th INFANTRY MEDICAL OFFICER UNIFORM

WWII US Army 88th Infantry Division Medical Officer Uniform. Attributed to Lieutenant Colonel Raymond L. Bryan, O1473762. Grouping includes 88th ID patches, ribbon bars, insignia, and more. (1) "Pink" and Greens Service Uniform. Chocolate elastique tunic with 88th ID shoulder patch, Lt. Colonel ranks, DUI pins, Medical Department collar insignia, Combat Medic badge and Ribbon Bar. Matching "Pink" trousers and chocolate uniform shirt with 88th ID patch. (1) Unnamed Legion of Merit. Wrap brooch with "8162" on the reverse. Ribbon, lapel pin and case included. (1) Unnamed Bronze Star with ribbon, lapel pin and case. (1) Philmont Area WWII Service medal.

Size: Medium

Provenance: Lifetime Military Memorabilia & Arms Collection of Peter L. Knepton"

Could somebody help me acquire more information about Lt. Colonel Raymond Bryan?

I have already tried the Enlistment Records (I know it's an officer), the AAD records and Ancestry but so far to no good luck, which leads me to believe it is a put-together uniform.

Thanks in advance,

Bruno
