Had a chance last October to visit the island of Guadalcanal and spend some time walking the battlefields. One of the most fascinating and well preserved battlefields on the island is the Gifu. In addition to visiting the fighting positions, the locals have a neat little museum there that has a collection of all of the battlefield relics that they continue to find. Here's a video of the visit:
