January 7, 20251 yr #1 Figured I'd share pics of mine while asking some lingering questions. The Bad: a tear with less than a 1/4" of belt separation at one end. The Good: it's in remarkable good condition considering the others I've seen. There's a rivet tag with '55', so a rack/stand of arms number I'd guess. Q1 What's the official designation for this belt? Q2 Can any specific units be identified as using these sort of ID rivets or is that just a pre-WWI thing in general? Q3 Is there an approved method of reparing a tear like this? or a known artisan who does these sort of fixes? Q4 Is this a second model or first?
January 9, 20251 yr Author #2 For those following along on this, found a poorly-worded description in the 1940 BANNERMAN catalog (p.210). The 1943 errata sheet noted that the pocket belt and woven holster (seen at the top) were out of stock. I can imagine the State Guards and war industry security in the vicinity of BANNERMAN Castle stamped those up.
