Need Help With WWII Remington 12 Gauge Brass Shotshell Lot Numbers

Featured Replies

I am trying to verify the location and appearance of the lot number found on the side of the Remington 25 round 12 gauge brass shotshell 2-piece box used in WWII. I have found several photos online that show the top label nomenclature, and one has a notation about the lot number on the side of the box, but does not have a photo of it. If anyone could supply a photo of the lot number that I can add to my research archive, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I looked at mine and no lot number is visible on either the wrapped or unwrapped box.

Same goes for my early box.

Thanks for checking robinb. And thanks for the photos of the Remington brass shotshells. I've never seen that box with "US Property" markings. It looks like a two piece box with wraparound label. Any chance I could bother you for photos of the sides and bottom of that box? It's not as common as the Winchester 2 piece box and may be where the M19 shotshell came from.
