Thanks!, Do they have a time frame or a  uniform these are worn with. That rivited strap attachment strikes me as something I have seen on early USMC gear.

N140 is a post WWII contract (N140S would be  a WWII contract). Leggings were supposed to be worn when under arms. And basically in boot camp.
