Original M1 carbine case? REAL

Featured Replies

Just wondering anyone’s thoughts on if this Carbine case is original. It’s marked “Shane Mfg co 1944”. It looks like it’s been cut and shortened. Obviously its really hard to tell but the stitching where it’s been shortened looks somewhat old. Just wondering the overall authenticity of it. Thanks!

Looks real to me, but you’ll want to get another’s opinion. From my research it appears it checks out.

.

Looks good to me and an effective repair could be done by a competent sewing machinist if matching material could be found.

Can't recall the make of the one I had but mine was a steel zip.
