Purchased this m1 carbine butt stock pouch off of eBay for a little over $30. Seller had multiple for sale so i got a random one. They were stated to be original but I’m not sure. The snap looks weird imo. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The snap is not correct. Almost certainly made from 100% pure Chinesium.

The font of the lettering is different. 

Well not to be a party pooper but there was no such thing as a “buttstock pouch”.  That is a belt pouch that someone figured out would fit around a carbine stock.  The snap was designed to fit on the standard pistol belt in place of the 1911 mag pouch.  I’ve seen folks complain about the snap scratching the stock….well again, it was not made to go there so what do you expect.
