Hello,

 

i went across this pics taken in Angers France of the 5th Infantry division during the summer 1944 with an HMG M-1917 Browing machine gun on a LMG tripod gun mount.

 

did you ever saw such an uncommon set ?

I have never seen a pic like that but you certainly can swap out browings on any of the mounts.  In certain situations you can't drag a 1917 tripod around easily, so this photo makes some sense.  Leave the big one back in a bunker and advance with a light weight version?  Of course the photo is staged, so anything is possible?
