August 18, 20241 yr #1 Greetings Just picked up what looks like an original period ww1 cavalry canteen but instead of canvas cover, this one is made of leather. I havent been able to find much about it. The canteen and cup are inside and dated 1917. I didnt take out the cup as leather too tight. The inside is is insulated in a white material. Looks new old stock. Any help is appreciate. Thanks in advance.
August 18, 20241 yr #2 Looks like a repro...WPG is more than likely WHat Price Glory a retailer of reproduction militaria. The brass harware also looks pretty nice for the age and I dont recall seeing canteen cups dated prior to 1918.
