I inherited the collection of my paternal grandfather Oscar King from family members as I'm the family's military historian. Grandpa enlisted July 17, 1917, and served with the 78th Company, 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment. He arrived in France on March 27, 1918 aboard the U.S.S. Henderson. He participated in the St. Mihiel Offensive September 12-16, the Champagne Offensive October 2-9, the Muese-Argonne Offensive November 1-11, 1918 and with the Army of Occupation at the Coblenz Bridgehead January 16-July 4, 1919.

Nothing on the back of either card related to location, he went to boot at Parris Island July-August 1917. Looks like what I worked when I was there in 1977.
