A friend of mine recently picked up a leather blood chit - it was stuck in a frame with a pilot's certificate from 1980.  It shows some age but I know these have been reproduced.  Can anyone tell me whether this is original or not?  Sorry about the first picture being through the glass, but hopefully the picture of the back will help determine the authenticity.

 

For what it's worth, the seller said it came out a house along with a Japanese medal that my friend also picked up.

Thanks for the information - looks like he did well!  Is this something that would have been produced as a souvenir or actually used?  It has some stitching holes on one side but doesn't appear to have ever been sewn on a jacket.

I would say that was made to be worn- not souvenir schlock
