As a newbie member, started to look for any posts re: 1914 Hotchkiss machine gun....no joy. Wanting to know if any members here have this icon of AEF weapons...? Always looking for info and parts, pieces, spare barrels, etc. for the 3-1914 Hotchkiss guns I have collected for my 1917 Machine Gun Cart display.

Info I've found from the only WW1 book on the machine gun batallions,'A Withering Fire',by George T. Raach, Col. USA (ret) relates that the 1914 Hotchkiss was used in 90%+ of all the machine gun combat by both Army and marine units.  This book is full of specific info on the use of the 1914 Hotchkiss, the 1917 Machine Gun Carts, the Ford vans used instead of the mule-drawn carts and combat stories. The books cover shows an Army 4-man gun crew with a 1914 Hotchkiss gun on the Omnibus tripod.
