Notes from 1k logged M1905/M1 Bayonets in 2023-

 

These three manufacturers changed fuller (sometimes referred to as "blood grooves") shapes sometime in 1942. Exact dates unknown. But I have tracked the numbers of each shape for 1942 so you can spectulate relative availability. All other US manufacturers (AFH, PAL, &WT) in 1942 and 1943 are round fullers

Another interesting study, but I thought PAL also had  square fullers ? 

 

I'm not sure about this photo ?

 

 

Some fullers are kinda in between and hard to distinguish. But I consider PAL fullers as  "round". I may be wrong, I will re-examine.

You're right, that's why you don't find any (or very few?) M1 PALs with Bowie cut blades.
