January 30, 20242 yr #1 This is Robert Johnson. He was my great great uncle who was born in 1933 and died in 2006. He was kind of an unknown figure in my family. My grandmother said she and the rest of her family hadn’t heard from or seen him since the late 1970s when her dad died and even then he was rarely seen. She didn’t know he was in the army until after digging through a box of photos and finding a 8x10 of him in a nice folder in uniform. He served during the Korean War but I don’t know much else. I can’t tell what his ribbons are or the patch on his right shoulder is except the one below it is a Staff Sergeant. Hope you can help. Thanks!
January 30, 20242 yr #3 ROTC collar insignia too…so assuming this picture is an ROTC cadet…can’t ID ribbons since they are for ROTC awards not US Army service awards….and he’s young in this picture
