D Day BIGOT/Neptune maps

Featured Replies

#1

Hi guys! I have two Top Secret: BIGOT / Neptune maps showing what I was told is an area near Utah Beach, these are dated about 2/3 weeks prior to D Day. The maps show mention of the 101st, and are quite heavily marked with notations by whoever had them in their possession back then. Was curious if anybody could tell me anything else about them, or a possible value (not interested in selling right now). Thank you!

Your pictures get blurry when I try to enlarge them.

Is there any possibility to take more pictures in a better light so the details are easier to make out?

 Thanks

Here are better pictures. The D Day maps I’ve seen don’t look like this one, I’ve never seen ones that look like this - does anybody know why or what type of map this would have been used for?

This is a late reply - sorry - I think these are traffic circuit maps. Issued to truck drivers or MPs on crossroads duty. I can’t make out place names but given the dates and words like ‘Transit Camp’ they might relate to the pre-embarkation concentration points in southern England. Interesting as curiosities but probably nothing like as valuable as maps of the landing beaches. Just a hunch.
