I’m putting together a 133rd NCB kit together, I have the N3s down but need advice on if OD3 or OD7 was used, most references I’ve send show lighter colored gear which points to OD3 but since it was 45 it wouldn’t be out of line some guys were issued newer stuff as I have 43 dated OD7 gear, any help appreciated

Both work just fine. Just mix it up. OD3 P41 suspenders only though.

One more thing I’ve noticed a lot with field gear during WWII, especially with special units such as engineers is less is more. Most guys only had belts with knives and maybe a bag. Think about what would be absolutely necessary and go from there.
