I picked this up recently because it was cheap and kind of interesting. But…what is it? It’s probably a bit over six inches long (I haven’t measured it) and the wood bit appears to be riveted into the tube. I can’t quite make out the numbers.

    The WW2 type came in a square case. Yours is post war.
