December 2, 20232 yr #1 Hello, I just got a new Navy jumper for the collection. I noticed that under the blacklight, the dolphins slightly glow green in some spots. Does this mean that the patch is a fake? I noticed that dust and other particles tend to glow green, so could this just be dust particles mixed into the embroidery? I took a photo with a piece of paper next to the patch to show the glow difference. Here's a photo without the paper:

December 2, 20232 yr #3 I’m sure it’s real. Looks fine. it is not a patch that gets faked as they are not expensive. I’ve washed patches before they were worth $200 and they glowed afterwards. Still real. Just full of phosphates that glow. the black light is just a tool to help find the new ones but it is all about the feel and the reverse.

December 2, 20232 yr #5 I guess I just have an issue with “Faking”, WW2 Navy insignia. They are so prevalent and cheap, why fake them?
