Hey guys. I recently picked up this AB liner and although it looked good at first, I am on the edge as to whether its real or fake now. What do you guys think on this one?

Could be real.  With the painted insignia it would be hard to say.  Could be a veteran tribute helmet.

 

The best part of this post-WWII liner is the WWII double-wire headband.

The A washers look brass, I thought they went to metal washers post war? 

To me, it appears to be a post war liner that was "rigger" modified to an Airborne configuration.

yes definitely post war- with the darker OD #7 green straps and you usually see the 11th done in decal form, but I am still thinking "possibly". The artwork is pretty good, and I like the wear to it.  IMO a faker would not "waste" a WWII wire sweatband on a helmet.  Sgt. Durango may have seen others like this. He is the 11th helmet hoarder....
