Hello. I’ve got a reproduction M41 jacket from ATF and it is a OD green. Where any M41’s made with this color besides the navy ones during WWII? Any help appreciated. 
 

I believe there is an example of the Arctic version with an OD color like that in the GI collectors guide by Paul enjames.

I may be mistaken though…

M41 existed in green and in most of cases and faded with time

I think this one is in the cut of the navy type. I’m still wondering when ATF made it though… I’ve never seen the USN spec one for sale from them.

This was posted by Hambone and I have one in same configuration with cutters tags unworn and never laundered. They have a definite green tint when new but fade with wear. Color shade can vary slightly from laker to maker or even same manufacturer. I pulled 30 hbt daisy mae caps out of a crate that were new old stock. The seller was the one to initially open the wooden box. The hats were all stacked on edge, and you could see the color shades vary. All were same size and manufacture. 

 

Also cameras can give a different color at tines when things are photographed especially if a flash is used.

Thanks Doyler! My main question is when did ATF make the navy spec one? As I’ve learned from everyone here there were darker m41s. However, unlike the jackets they make now, there are no buttons or adjustment tabs on the back or the sleeves… just like the USN navy spec one… I’m just puzzled.

i understand that the main question is related to ATF and I don't know the answer but I'm sure they would be able to reply you. BTW, are you sure this is an ATF ? COuld be another reproducer

 

for the color, i would like to share this M41 zipper where we can clearly see the original color (around OD5) and the faded one (OD3)

How about the liner?  Is it fleece or wool?  They moved to fleece recently, across the board, so if it’s wool anything within the last few years would be ruled out.  How about where it was made?  Maybe one of their early China ones from when they were transitioning over there?

It’s a fleece liner. So bizarre.
