Cartridge belt original or reproduction?

I was told by quite a few people this belt is original now some knuckle head is saying it’s not. Saying it’s too new.  I would just like another opinion.

+1. Nothing wrong with that one.

You get that once in awhile, especially on eBay. had one a couple of weeks ago telling me a 41 dated pistol belt from a vet's estate was for sure  a Chinese repro because the slides were "welded". I just explained that the braised flat brass keepers were normal for everything early 1942 and back and ignored him. Nothing wrong with this cartridge belt, don't worry about it.

I've seen large regimental marked font inside cartridge belts. I know the looks can be deceiving, I once bought a haversack at a flea market. Walked around and really looked at it thought I bought a fake. Then I went home and research it, the haversack was just in practically unused condition.

Belt looks fine and original.

I see lots of "experts" like this over in the Facebook groups. Just a bunch of know it alls that really have no clue what they are talking about.

Looks ok from the photos (and lighting, angles, etc. are getting more important when photographing stuff for opinion purposes, IMHO).  Condition (within reason) is often a poor metric for judging authenticity.  There are piles of unissued you-name-it in collections/basements/etc.

its original. Early BoyT font with small  O-T

Most repros also can’t seem to get the cartridge belt flap right, that is usually a dead give away for me and the slightly offset colors usually tell you it’s an original. Stick to what you know.

I don’t have a picture of it at this moment but I have a cartridge belt dated 42 with pristine stamps, The guy I bought it from got it NOS.
