June 20, 20233 yr #1 Found an old photo of the original owner of my home there is a large building in the background with a civil war monument I was wondering if anyone can identify the monument and where it is ?? Thanks for any help offered

June 27, 20233 yr #3 Looks like a Civil War commemorative monument (i.e. not a battlefield piece) A Soldiers & Sailors monument The four corners denote Navy, Artillery, Infantry & probably Cavalry on the unseen side. For example, this is the Rhode Island Soldiers & Sailors monument ...and the Connecticut Soldiers and Sailors monument
June 27, 20233 yr Author #5 That’s it !! Thank you so much for your help I’m gonna check it out this weekend looks like the building in the background is York high school but is no longer there torn down in the 1920s I think this photo was taken around 1900 thanks again !!!
