Bought this at a flea Market. Still sealed in bag, G23 marked. Had no idea how cheaply these are made with plastic inlays.  Will need to glue the pieces back down.

I wouldn’t be surprised if these had been farmed out to a jobber. 
 

Today’s DIs are not made as nicely as they were 1930-45. G23 is the code (only) for noted DI maker Ira Greene.  Let me add I don’t collect modern DIs so I don’t know if today’s HM incl both the maker’s name and contract code.
