May 15, 20233 yr #1 It was left in the guys backyard for a long time, it has been shot, tons of rust, and a big dent. I got it for cheap so no complaints. I dont see any identifying features. If you want more pictures I will provide

May 16, 20233 yr #6 Not for the US forum. There is a sister forum for foreign items. If you'd like to enter the front door, please introduce yourself in the New Members area. If you ask this same question on the sister forum, please introduce yourself there first as well. They will have more info on this helmet but this thread will be locked here.
May 16, 20233 yr #7 Could be a variation of the US Ford Motor Company Experimental Model 8 Helmet. It looks about right and has visor lugs
May 17, 20233 yr #8 It has not yet been ascertained the OP's helmet is a foreign helmet. Until it is, this thread should remain open. Steve
May 17, 20233 yr #10 The shape is nothing like the Model 8 even without the visor. Does anyone have Dean's book? Reloading some appropriate pictures would be a great start. Dave

Fun y how we were relatively late to the whole swivelbale thing
May 17, 20233 yr #12 Thing is the M26 didn't have an applied rim. Some had a rough cut edge, some look like they had a rolled edge but none look to have a separate piece applied to them like this and like you see on M1 helmets. The Spanish seemed to copy German manufacturing techniques. Also those are definitely locking lugs for a visor on the sides. Something I'm not aware of M26 helmets having. It may not be a model 8 but I seriously doubt it's a M26.
