March 11, 20233 yr #1 Does anyone know if these gloves are military? If so, what era? There are no markings anywhere I can see. Material is very soft and stretchy but I don’t know what it is. They came with an overseas cap that I was more interested in. Thanks for looking. Mikie
March 11, 20233 yr #2 could be or private purchace. The Marines wore a white clove with dress blues I recall of a similiar pattern. Also seen Navy Waves have a darke blue pair etc.
March 11, 20233 yr #3 To me could be military or a high school band glove. I have a white pair similar to those and I don't recall the era or when/where I picked them up.
March 11, 20233 yr Author #4 My searches didn’t come up with anything. But you give me confidence they are not military. They do fit me so I’ll gently use them now and then. Thanks! mikie
March 11, 20233 yr #5 I have some white ones like that in cloth and a similar grey pair in leather that I took apart as they were dry anyway. Made a pattern but never made the gloves. Yeah, gloves used to be a daily wear item. Dave
May 5, 20233 yr #7 Wait, you're right. What happened to shock gloves? 1 hour ago, dmar836 said: Are mods deleting posts here or is this posted elsewhere?
May 5, 20233 yr #8 I've noticed this for months. Comments, including some of mine, are removed. Occasionally a whole thread is removed.
January 30, 20242 yr #9 I have these same white gloves in a footlocker that hasn’t been opened in 80+ years alongside every iteration of army officer dress uniform that you can imagine: mess, blues, white etc.
