Who doesn't? I used to go to his shop when he was in Manhattan, KS!

And I, while he was set up in Colorado Springs.  Later on today I'll take out the 21st Airship uniform and take better pixs of the insignia as promised in my earlier posts above.  Aloha, John

Name almost looks like Nankivell. Major John H. Nankivell published the History of The Colorado National Guard. He was a long serving Officer in both the Guard and the Regular Army. I don't believe he was in the Air Service however I wonder if this belonged to a family member. Sorry to hear Elden passed away. Tough bargainer, but he sure got in the stuff.

Opps, wrong thread for posting detail pixs.  I'm sadden by how you had to spend Eldens last moments together.  I had the same experience with Marty, from whom I'd inherited my 21st Airship coat that was in Elden's former collection.

Still a magnificent piece and I was thankful to have seen it in person at a Colorado show I think.  I remember visiting Jay Massaro  on one of my trips back to Austin and gave him a duplicate of the photos I took of it and some other new 490th theater made variations I had found.  He submitted the photo of the DI (It was a poor shot from over my head) and it appeared in the Trading Post as a new discovery.  It's a beautiful piece! 🥰
