The 634th Medical Clearance Company

Hey yall. Working a project for some folks track the movement of the 634th Medical Clearance Company, 6th Engineer Special Brigade,  aligned under 1st Army.

Here's where I'm at:

Doing some digging armed with a DD-214 of a member of the unit, I've been to at least track the unit from their arrival into theater on D-Day to about November 1944. Through this time they were mostly operating on the Omaha Beach Evac Zone and the Carentan peninsula.

At some point between September and November 1944 the unit was task organized under 9th Army, with no clear indication of what subordinate unit they were assigned to.

My question to the community is if anyone has any information on the unit from November 1944 to the end of the war/ occupation forces period?

Things I've done:

- NARA request on individuals with limited feedback. They lost a chunk of information in the St Louis fire.

- Eisenhower Library request for the 6th ESB's S-1 records prior to November 1944. Awaiting their feedback.

- AMEDD medical unit history

- Army Center of Military History

- Google it.

Any feedback would be great, thanks much yall.
