Wanted to share my latest addition to the collection. This early USN H-3 came out of a shop in Leavenworth, KS. What makes it unique is the addition of the University of Kansas "Jayhawk" mascot decals on the crown. The University of Kansas is located in Leavenworth, so I assume that the alum Jayhawk aviator returned to his college town after their US Navy career. The interior of the shell is devoid of any personal markings, so this there is no way to research the aviator. Anyway, very happy to have found this singular piece. Enjoy.

    Nice helmet. The University of Kansas (KU) is actually in Lawrence, Kansas - not far from Leavenworth though...
