    Actually even rarer, this article is about the WAFS the predecessor to the WASP program. Women's Air Ferrying Service founded by Nancy Love.

    Yup.  I got this issue a few weeks back, as it was advertised as being about the WASP program, and was surprised since the WASP started in August 1943, and this issue is September 1943.  It must have gone to print prior to the merge, and would have been released in August.  I also have the issue of the WASP newsletter about Nancy’s death quite a while later.
