March 4, 200917 yr #3 Richard, Nice collection. About your questions... the first knife with the ground blade has it been done by a GI who has acquired it or was it sold after the war to the civilian market and the markings removed?????. Markings could have been done by either. The sheath at the top came with the ground blade knife is it civilian ??? The sheath is not military. I lightened up the photo to see it better. and one more question what M3 maker is the rarest of the all. Boker, closely followed by Robeson Shuredge.
March 5, 200917 yr #5 Hi Richard welcome to the forum....good to see another "Limey" on here..:-)......Gunbarrel has it nailed..i too have a "civilianised" M3 what was a UTICA blade marked M3 ...which has ben ground off...feintly you can still see the U and the A of Utica but mine still has the ord bomb on the pommel.......and the company that sold them during or post war was KUTMASTER..which has been etched into the blade the opposite side. Rarest..Easy Blade dated ones......then blade marked ones....(Bokers /Robesons) mind you arent straight guard Case M3s rare ? Regards Lloyd
