I have been researching what I think is a dependent's dog tag. I always scan these at 300dpi from the back because my scanner gets a better image that way. Then I optically reverse them with software to make them read correctly. When I did this I noticed there was some tiny printing above the upside down phone number on the reverse side. I know it is hard to read on the scan but with a 10x magnifier it plainly reads "Addressograph". I have never seen a dog tag with this on it before. Is this dog tag original? Or a recent copy? Did the military ever use blank dog tags with this company name on them to make original dog tags?

Found a similar tag with the same Addressograph text. My Addressograph dog tag machine had a blank data tag in the lower pan with identical stamping.

I've never seen that before! Nice oddity 

Could be blanks came with this type of machines and may have been used

Note is states WWII Era so may not be military
