I got a helmet from ebay. It looks like the HGU-26P. Stickers / decals applied include OV-10 Bronco, FAC, 22nd TASS, 23rd TASS, 602nd TACW, and others. The mismatched parts are from other helmet models such as APH-5A, AFH-1… and many. I do not know what parts or stickers are original, and which were applied later.

 

The headset is from APH-5 or HGU-2P?

The visor track is different  with the 26P's

The visor  housing is not PRU-36.

The one-piece styrofoam impact liner maybe is from IHADASS.

I'd say the shell was initially setup with a rams horn style visor, based on the screws placed in the shell to fill the holes

scratching my head on the liquid nails used to attach the visor and earphones...but nice collection of parts

can't say much about the decals, could be legit...(?)

 

 

 

  

The earphone pads are correct but the mounts on them are for a headphone set. 

Saw this from the last guy who had bought it.  Its a total put together.   Those ear cups are the APH-5A style but as stated previously have the headphone/set mounts.   The shell insignias and stuff were cool but the rest of it is just a mess.

I want to change them to be legit.

I find the right ear cups.

Stay away from that eBay seller out of "Sun Valley, NV" that sells helmets. Almost all of them are fakes and piece togethers like this one. Claims in his listings that he is a third party in the deal and knows nothing about what he is listing. I beg to differ........
