Probably one of the finest colorized 1st Marine Division images Iv’e seen, almost destroyed by USPS.  Unfortunately not identified, Green eyed Sgt. 1st MarDiv with 2 campaign stars and PUC. Not sure if he caught the first 2, middle 2, or last 2. Is there anyone familiar with the Photographic artist “Mowery”?i

Its like a sheet of steel fell on it.

Beautiful image...glad it survived the shipping. Post office has really been slipping, I'm still waiting on a package that was lost at customs in New York in October

When shipping something framed with glass, always always firmly lay down a grid of masking or similar tape on top of the glass, usually 1" squares is good.

 

If it breaks or shatters, the tape holds the shards together.
