December 28, 20214 yr #1 Hi gang, I’ve had these guys for some time and am stumped on attribution or the potential for it on either of both. 1. DSC set with loads of foreign awards. I picked it up here on the forum hoping to narrow it down but between work and dead ends just haven’t made headway 2. Stellar LOM ETO type staffer with loads of foreign, many Italian and some Vatican in there. Very much like the attributed set attributed to Bradshaw 5th Army(?) Possibly a staffer there but I’ve had no luck finding any hints. Any assistance or expertise is appreciated.
March 28, 20224 yr #3 I count 45 ribbons, some real obvious, some not. It's a lot to ask someone to do, just in typing time alone. Here's a good start: https://www.marines.mil/portals/1/Publications/NAVMC 2897.pdf
July 11, 20224 yr Author #4 This sold recently with similar awards, any way to tie my guy to this unit? Original WWII era ribbon bar of General Alfred Gruenther; he was attached to the Fifth Army as a Major General with Mark Clark, and later rose to 4 Star Rank as head of NATO, retiring in 1956.
