I recently picked up this pair of printed I MAC patches and have been trying to find similar examples both online and in this forum but not having much luck. There are a few examples-perhaps 4, that are posted in the pinned 'Rarest WW II USMC patches' topic and attributed to being theater made in Australia. They are very similar in construction with the sewn outer edges and a few of the stars being slightly imperfect. These two have some very subtle differences though-especially on the folded under edges on the back side. They are also a little bit lighter shade of blue than those posted in the aforementioned thread. If original, I suppose it is possible there could have been more than one manufacturer of this type of patch. Just curious if anyone else has examples made like this or knows anything definite about them?
