August 16, 20205 yr #4 The description says this is one of three made to fit Tom Cruise. With that said, there are probably more out there that were not movie props. $45,000 after 3 bids? That is insane compared to the prices of genuine militaria. One could have a very nice collection of real items for that amount of money. Of course, that makes the $3,000 bid on the name patch look very reasonable.

Hi Gil, I can testify to the truth of your opinion when in 2019 I auctioned several real M-42 jackets and several reproduction M-42 suits I had acquired while working on Band of Brothers, quite disappointing or regular prices on the real stuff and out of all proportion prices paid on the film-work copies. regards lewis . . . . . . .
