I picked this helmet up over the weekend from a dealer down in Ohio where he acquired it . The “4” on the front of the helmet matches the “4” on the liner . Also has a name stenciled on the outside and initials carved in it

 

A helpful friend and fellow forum member found this obit to a Navy man, who received a Purple Heart at Okinawa . I’m fairly confident it’s the same person . Thoughts ?
